Executive Function Coaching
Mel offers in executive function coaching for adolescents (7 to 19) and adults. Executive functioning is the air traffic controller of the brain and deficits in this area causes issues with academic (study / organization / accountability), social-emotional skills and career advancement in adults. Students who have diverse learning styles can struggle tremendously with exective functioning.
Mel's coaching program focuses on developing essential skills such as time management, organization, and goal-setting. By equipping adolescence and adults with these skills, Mel will empower them to become independent learners and succeed both in school, career and life.

(On a personal note, I (Mel) so believe in the importance of exectutive functioning, and with the flexibility of homeschooling, I dedicated an entire school year honing my children's skills in this area. It has been one of the best ways I set my children up for success in post-secondary studies. And as they say, "the proof is in the pudding".)

Executive function coaching fees are $90.00 per coaching session. (Sessions are typically 45 - 60 minutes.)

Mel recommends one coaching session a week for adults and two coaching sessions a week for adolescents.
Teenage Mentoring
In addition to academic support, Mel offers life coaching and mentoring services for teenagers. She provides guidance, support, and encouragement to help teenagers navigate the challenges of adolescence. This includes accountability partnership, preparing to launch, executive function training and social emotional coaching. Through regular sessions, Mel helps teenagers develop self-confidence, resilience, and positive decision-making skills.

Mel recommends two coaching sessions per week to set your child up for success. These sessions can be a combination of in-person (location TBD - most likely - British International School of Charlotte) or online.

Mel's fees for teenage mentoring are $90.00 per session.
